Bangui advanced to BAL 2023 regular season beating Nueva Era 69-60. The Central African Republic representative grabbed a 25-9 surge at the start and led 13 points at the halftime. Moreover they posted a 22-18 rally in the third quarter and did not mind a 12-20 loss at the end of the game.
Max Kouguere (198-SF-1987) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Matthew Binder (175-PG-1992, college: Franciscan) added 12. Kenny Gasana (195-G-1984, college: Boise St.) and Jean Nguepy delivered 11 points each in the winning effort. Deonta Terrell (193-G-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) answered with 17 points in a loss and Mandrell Worthy (191-SG-1996, college: Azusa Pacific) brought 14.
